Aligned protocols and measurements parameters to be implemented in field experiments Handbook - Deliverable 3.1

A network of 10 field experiments was built across Europe (7 countries) covering a range of pedo- climatic conditions and different farming systems: arable and vegetable systems both under conventional and organic management. The diversified cropping systems will be assessed thanks to standardized measurements across the network and multi-criteria assessment tools. Decision rules concerning the design of the diversified cropping system and their management will be also recorded to make it easier to help other diversification initiatives.

This deliverable is a working handbook tool for partners involved in WP3. It contains:

• The rationale for the choice of criteria, measurements and methods
• The type of data and metadata
• Description of the measurements with recommendations concerning methods
