1st International Meeting of the Young Transportations Geotechnics Engineers of the ISSMGE

The 1^st International Meeting of the Young Transportations Geotechnics Engineers (1^st YTGE meeting), associated with the 3^rd International Conference on Transportation Geotechnics 2016 (3^rd ICTG 2016), aims to provide an international forum for doctoral and post-doctoral students as well as research engineers and engineers involved in innovation in transportation geotechnics, to present and discuss their main research results and to identify future research and engineering practice needs.

The 1^st YTGE meeting, held in Guimarães, Portugal, on September 4^th 2016, intended to create a knowledge exchange network and compile what the best and most advanced practices worldwide in the transportation geotechnics field are, either in academic or in industrial domains. It was covered all the disciplines in transportation geotechnics (roads, highways, bridges, airports, railways, waterways, canals and terminals- harbors) under the umbrella of ISSMGE - TC 202.
