WormBiome Overview

WormBiome is a specialized database focused on improving knowledge of the microbial genomes related to Caenorhabditis elegans. It aims to support studies on host-bacteria interactions and microbiome research within the context of C. elegans.

The database includes a detailed collection of microbial genome annotations, available for download as a whole database, consensus version, and individual `.tar.gz files`. Additionally, WormBiome offers a consolidated annotation file in .tsv format, combining all annotations for easier access and use. This setup is intended to help researchers efficiently find and use microbial genomics information.

Interactive Website

The WormBiome website (wormbiome.org) provides a user-friendly interface for accessing the database. It's designed to help the research community quickly navigate and retrieve genomic information, aiding in discovering new aspects of C. elegans and microbial interactions.

Citation Policy

We encourage users to credit WormBiome by citing the database paper (Published Soon) and the individual data files used in their research. Each dataset in our database has a unique Zenodo DOI for precise referencing. Citing these sources helps acknowledge the effort put into WormBiome and supports its continued growth and service to the scientific community.

Community Engagement

We welcome researchers, scholars, and anyone interested in microbial genomes and C. elegans to explore WormBiome, share their findings, and connect with others in the field. Your participation can advance our collective understanding and lead to significant discoveries.
