TouriSME is a COSME project co-funded by the EU Commission. Coordinated by Consulta Europa Projects and Innovation, the project includes 8 partners from 5 countries all over Europe.
TouriSME aims at fostering SMEs’ capacities and skills to explore and uptake sustainable solutions through a reinforced transnational and cross-sectoral collaboration amongst tourism SMEs and operators from different sectors in Spain, Italy, France and Cyprus.
More specifically, TOURISME pursues the following objectives:
- Design and implement transnational and intersectoral support schemes that promote sustainable growth in the tourism sector through training, knowledge transfer and international cooperation between SMEs, business accelerators, incubators, development agencies and other decision makers in the tourism industry.
- Support the uptake of innovative solutions that promote sustainability practices and circular business models.
- Facilitate the participation of SMEs in environmental certification programs and other initiatives that promote sustainable tourism, such as EMAS and EU Ecolabel.
