The Swiss Physical Society (SPS) [Schweizerische Physikalische Gesellschaft (SPG), Société Suisse de Physique (SSP)] is a non-profit organisation uniting physicists and persons interested in physics in Switzerland and beyond.

The SPS promotes the exchange of knowledge among physicists by organizing conferences and by participating in scientific events, as well as by publishing its own member journal “SPG Mitteilungen” and a monthly newsletter. The main purpose of the SPS is to provide all those interested in physics with access to the current state of science.
The SPS makes its expertise available to decision-makers in politics and industry in Switzerland. Special attention is given to the professional support of high school students, undergraduates, young scientists, as well as physics teachers of all levels.
