Since the first edition of the Simposium Iberoamericano de Nanotecnología y Calidad Ambiental (SINCA), the committee
organizer set the goal of bringing together national and international specialists in the fields of science
and environmental engineering and materials science and engineering, including the active participation of students from
postgraduate and undergraduate to learn and exchange ideas and updated knowledge about advances and
innovation related to the issues of the use of advanced materials for environmental protection.
The central axis of work is Nanomaterials and Processes for Sustainable Development, which is highly relevant due to the challenges that our society has to solve.
The incorporation of topics such as: the generation of adsorbent materials, biodegradable materials, the development of strategies in the fight against climate change, the incorporation of energy
renewables, and the development of sustainable processes aimed at improving people's quality of life.
As in the other editions, people interested in the central axis of the symposium were invited to
shared their research and disseminated it through the symposium proceedings. For this, a
double-blind review process where the scientific committee evaluated the relevance of the work and control
suggestions and corrections so that they could appear in these conference series.
