The RFZ model is a research model developed within the Spacecraft Department at the German Aerospace Research Center (DLR) Institute of Aerodynamics and Flow Technolgy in Göttingen. This community will be used as a platform for dissemination of publications and data, including CAD files, flight trajectory and CoG information as well as aerodynamic and aerothermal results. The geometry and results are made available to the research community to promote collaboration in understanding the design challenges associated with re-usable launchers. Researchers outside of DLR are encouraged to contribute to the datasets here through their own CFD or wind tunnel investigations.
