What do the Open Science and the Citizen Social Science have in common? What can we learn from each other? And why should we collaborate?

The idea for this community emerged during the *Open*Citizen*Social*Science Meetup hosted by Global Innovation Gathering.

As a community being engaged in both spaces, e.g. through GIG’s role in the Citizen Social Science Horizon 2020 project CoAct and as the many GIG actors being involved in the Open Science community, such as Africa Osh and the African Makerspace Network, we were keen to explore those common grounds. This Zenodo community is part of a larger effort in building a knowledge hub across many different initiatives.
