OBDP2021 - 2nd European Workshop on On-Board Data Processing

OBDP2021 - 2nd European Workshop on On-Board Data Processing

ESA, CNES and DLR are proud to present the 2nd European Workshop on On-Board Data Processing (OBDP 2021).

The 2021 edition of the event was organized as a fully digital event. Participants were able to view the presentations online and to take part in live discussions and roundtables.
The event aimed to bring together experts from the European space agencies, industry and academia and provide a forum for discussion, and a chance to interface with other professionals in the field.
The workshop covered topics related to on-board data processing for space applications and will include presentations on past, current and future data processing topics, as well as round-tables on the topics of future development of on-board data processing algorithms, systems and devices.

On-board processing has seen an ever increasing interest in the last years, and new methods and techniques are being deployed. These include the in-flight demonstration of artificial intelligence techniques. The introduction of new, processing demanding techniques poses new challenges in the development of on-board processing systems. OBDP 2021 aimed to capture the state-of-the-art in on-board processing techniques and on-board systems and devices.

OBDP 2021 sessions included several aspects of on-board data processing, in order to cover all the major areas of interest for the attendance.
