MOOFFWIND: MULTIVARIABLE AND MULTI-OBJECTIVE CONTROL OF OFFSHORE WIND TURBINES

The current project focuses on contributing to the development of new multivariable, multi-objective control systems to enable more efficient and safer operation of offshore wind turbines, both fixed and floating, throughout their operating range. To achieve the project objectives, complete offshore turbine models will be developed taking into account the main disturbances, including wind and wave models, which will be validated using OpenFAST software, widely used in the wind energy sector. Based on the generated models, the system will be analysed and new control strategies will be proposed, including schemes based on Independent Pitch Control (IPC). The control strategies will be implemented on PLC-type hardware connected to OpenFAST, where the turbine-floating platform system will be simulated. This repository collects the different outputs of the project: papers, datasets, presentations, software, etc.
