MODERN PHYTOMORPHOLOGY is an annual journal (2 volumes are published at the same time per year) with open access policy under the Creative Commons BY‑NC‑ND license. It was established by enthusiastic botanist Dr. Andrew V. Novikoff (Andriy V. Novikov) in Lviv in 2011 and firstly published in early 2012. Modern Phytomorphology publishes original research articles, reviews and short reports covering plant biology. It is specialized on anatomical, morphological, physiological and taxonomical investigations of plants and fungi in wide sense but also publishes research results from other fields of botany. Some of the issues of journal are closely related to the international conference on plant morphology. Journal prefers manuscripts written in English, but also accepts papers in Russian and Ukrainian.
