Presentations of the MIMAS Implant Safety Workshop held on 15th/16th September 2021.

The Workshop was organized within the EURAMET project Medical Implant Manufacturers’ Safety procedures (MIMAS). The 2-day workshop deals with implant safety in the context of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Detailing passive and active implant risks and strategies to avoid them. Speakers are from academia and industry with a focus towards the status quo and the needs of current standards on MR safety and new horizons in implant safety. Relevant standards discussed are ASTM F2182, ISO 10974 and IEC 60601-2-33. The workshop is endorsed by the International Society by Magnetic Resonance in Medicine (ISMRM).
