User scope: Researchers affiliated with the Medical Faculty of the University of Basel and/or the University Hospital of Basel.

Content of file uploads: Study protocols, metadata, and research data where the data controlling institution is either the University of Basel or the University Hospital of Basel or one its affiliated clinics.

All uploaded research data must be compliant with Swiss regulations related to sensitive personal data.

For research data classifying as sensitive personal data only metadata may be uploaded. Sensitive personal data must be stored on a secure environment of the data controlling institution with access rights given to the MF-DAC.

The MF-DAC will process future access requests of external researchers (see MF-DAC Data Access and Request Agreement Template). Therefore, the MF-DAC can be referenced as independent data access committee in grant applications, data management plans, metadata, and publication manuscripts.
