Latin American Journal of Computing (LAJC) is an open access peer-reviewed journal, sponsored by the Faculty of Systems Engineering of the National Polytechnic School of Ecuador. This journal publishes new results in different areas such as Information Security, Information Systems, Intelligent Systems, Software Engineering and Science, Technology and Society (STS).

The goal of this journal is to bring together researchers and practitioners from academia and industry to present original research papers, technical reviews and state-of-the-art reviews for publication.

LAJC has a semi-annual periodicity. Authors are cordially invited to contribute to the journal by submitting their manuscripts in either, the January to May number, or July to November number.

The Latin-American Journal of Computing (LAJC) aims to serve as a space for the exchange of knowledge for researchers and professionals from academia and industry to present original research papers, technical reviews and cutting-edge reviews for publication. We publish scientific articles located within the various academic and professional fields of Computer Science, Computer Science, Information and Communication Technologies, produced in the context of research projects and / or contributions from researchers from Universities at a global level.

We cordially invite academics, professionals and students from around the world to submit their research papers and technical reports. We currently accept submissions preferribly in English, or Spanish, in the following research areas:

  1. Information security

    Objective: To study information management approaches and information communication in business and public environments to plan, implement, monitor and manage information security efficiently. To align information security with business strategy to support the organization's objectives. To optimize security investments in support of business objectives.
     

  2. Information systems

    Objetive: To study the fundamental role of information systems in the organization. Understand the impact of the adoption of information technologies on the organization and its influence on organizational processes.
     

  3. Intelligent systems

    Objetive: To study the fundamental role, interactions and practical impacts of Intelligent Systems.
     

  4. Software engineering

    Objetive: To investigate and innovate in the area of ​​Software Engineering, new paradigms and development methodologies, as well as the successful application of these models in the development of computer systems.
     

  5. Science, Technology and Society (STS)

    Objetive: To develop research related to the field of competences that allow understanding the social and human dimensions of the interactions between science, technology and society, as well as its scope and possible consequences.
     

  6. Computer Science and Information Technologies for inclusive education and disability

    Objetive: To study and promote the use of Information Technologies, offering accessibility to people with disabilities by incorporating applications and innovations that favor their inclusion for the full exercise of their rights. Promote equal access to education for people through the incorporation of ICT in the educational field.

Each submitted paper must be an original, unpublished work; the originality of which will be strictly considered through an anti-plagiarism verification process.
