All information published in this community will be curated by the KNOWING project team.
According to the KNOWING Data Management Policy, all data produced by the project must be made publicly available, unless there is a compelling ethical or commercial reason against such publication. Key rules of KNOWING Data Management can be summarised as:
- All data sets used by the project will be referenced in Zenodo, to assure that the information is easily discoverable and can be referenced by unique DOI –during and after the project1.
- All Open Data produced in the project or published by the project for the first time2 will be also published in Zenodo, to assure its long-term storage through OpenAIRE.
- For data used or produced by the project that cannot be made public, only a description will be published on Zenodo. This description will, among other, include the reasons for non-disclosure and conditions and procedures for accessing the data. (Such data will be managed by the owner and kept for at last five years after the project end.)
(1) in simplest cases, this could mean that a whole set of the data used to produce particular deliverable will be summarized in a tabular form with links to original data (for open data) or instructions where to get the data (for non-open data).
(2) "Data produced by the project" explicitly includes presentations, publications, video materials and any other type of material produced by the project that is considered "worth mentioning" by the consortium.
