The COPE Code of Conduct for Journal Publishers shall be followed by IJMERI. We urge journal editors to follow the COPE Code of Conduct for Journal Editors and, if necessary, direct reviewers to the COPE Ethical Guidelines for Peer Reviewers. Misconduct allegations shall be examined in accordance with the COPE Best Practice Guidelines to the greatest extent possible. If a suspected infraction of publishing ethics is discovered, we ask journal editors and personnel to notify their OUP contact as soon as feasible. All papers submitted are reviewed by the editorial staff. Those manuscripts determined by editors to be inappropriate for the journal's requirements are rejected without further assessment. Manuscripts that have been determined to be of potential interest to our audience are forwarded to two sets of peer reviewers. Based on the reviewers' recommendations, the editors choose one of three outcomes: rejected, modification necessary, or approved.
