The H2020 project WADI - Water-tightness Airborne Detection Implementation aims at reducing losses in water transmission systems, therefore decreasing the related energy consumption. The project will develop an airborne water leak detection surveillance service to provide water utilities with adequate information on leaks in water infrastructure outside urban areas, thus enabling prompt and cost-effective repairs. WADI targets the recovery of up to 50% of the water lost at lower cost than conventional ground techniques.
