Ultra-compact, low-cost plasmo-photonic bimodal multiplexing sensor platforms as part of a holistic solution for food quality monitoring

GRACED is a European research project whose aim is to develop a new device for faster, cheap, yet reliable controls of food quality and safety in the food value chains, focusing on the fruits & vegetables sector, in order to deliverer better products, while reducing food waste. The device will be an alternative to laboratory analysis with a field-use device, reducing the total time and cost of analysis. The device will be ready-to-use (without particular lab/analytical skills or equipment required), adaptable for use throughout the whole supply chain and the sensors within the device will ensure simultaneous measurement of multiple analytes (safety & quality related).

This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 101007448.
