Echoes of the Script: Open Lab for Ancient Writing curates evidence-first research artifacts that support auditable, repeatable evaluation of writing-system claims.

We prioritize:
• Method releases (protocols, reviewer forms, scoring rubrics, templates)
• Calibration cases using deciphered/benchmark material (end-to-end workflow demonstrations)
• Worked examples that log one bounded claim per record and link to minimum supporting sources

Minimum submission standard:
• Clear, bounded claim(s)
• Sources linked (or cited) at the point of use
• Reviewer outcomes recorded using a shared outcome set (Confirmed / Needs Evidence / Not Supported) or an equivalent, explicitly defined set
• Uncertainty is labeled; speculation must be marked as such

Not accepted (or returned for revision):
• Unbounded “translation” claims without evidence traceability
• Claims that cannot be replicated from the provided sources
• Records that mix transcription and meaning claims without separating them
