The workshop on “Digital Twins for Disaster Early Warning Systems”, was organized by the Netherlands eScience Center and the University College of London on the 11th of June, 2024, in the context of the project “Leveraging Digital Twins for Early Warning Systems: Investigating Challenges and Solutions”. The workshop focused on addressing questions such as:
- Where have Digital Twins/related technologies made a critical difference in disaster management outcomes compared to traditional methods?
- What are the limitations or challenges with Digital Twins in the context of disaster early warning systems? What developments can address these limitations in the future?
