The purpose of this project is to investigate the long-term impact of open sharing commitments. The study focuses on Covid-19 and the Wellcome-led open sharing Statement, including in comparison with statements released to tackle previous outbreaks such as Zika and Ebola.

The project comprises a bibliometric and informetric analysis of Covid-19 findings and data, a survey of Statement signatories and interviews with representatives of public health bodies and those developing therapeutics and vaccines.
