«ПОЯС ГОРОДОВ» СТЕЙНА РОККАНА В ИСТОРИЧЕСКОЙ ГЕОГРАФИИ ЕВРОПЫ

Аннотация. В статье анализируется потенциал научного наследия выдающегося норвежского мыслителя Стейна Роккана для историко-культурного анализа Европы, прежде всего периода средневековья. В центре внимания находится «концептуальная карта Европы» («теория Европы») Роккана, ориентированная по осям Север-Юг и Запад-Восток, а также ключевое понятие его теории – «пояс городов». Положительно оцениваются перспективы использования концепта «пояса городов» для изучения контактной зоны гибридизации северной и южной традиции. Отмечена плодотворность идей Роккана для построения работоспособной и верной модели европейской цивилизации с учётом локальной специфики регионов.

Abstract. The article analyzes the potential of the scientific heritage of the outstanding Norwegian thinker Stein Rokkan for the historical and cultural analysis of Europe, especially the Middle Ages. The focus is on Rokkan’s “conceptual map of Europe” (“theory of Europe”), oriented along the North-South and West-East axes, as well as the key concept of his theory – the “city-belt”. The prospects for using the concept of a “city-belt” to study the contact zone of hybridization of the northern and southern traditions are assessed positively. The fruitfulness of Rokkan's ideas for building a workable and correct model of European civilization, taking into account the local specifics of the regions, is noted.
