Senna occidentalis has been used worldwide in the traditional treatment of many diseases. The plant is used for haematuria, rheumatism, typhoid, asthma, and disorders of hemoglobin. It also contains diverse bioactive compounds responsible for anti-inflammatory, anti-parasitic, anti-viral, and antioxidant activities.
