NeuroDecipher stands as a cutting-edge Python software tailored to dissect the intricacies of the subconscious decision-making process. Utilizing EEG data from the Muse device, it ventures beyond conscious cognition to discern potential decisional precursors before they emerge into awareness.

  1. MUSE Folder:

    • Timestamp: Detailed timestamp capturing the exact millisecond of data collection.
    • Brain Wave Metrics: Neurological insights derived from the spectrum of brainwaves including Delta, Theta, Alpha, Beta, and Gamma, each reflecting different cognitive states.
    • Raw & AUX_RIGHT: A raw representation of the electrical brain signals and waveforms from an auxiliary sensor.
    • Mellow & Concentration: Metrics indicating the relaxation and focus levels of the user.
    • Motion Data: The accelerometer provides device movement vectors in three dimensions (X, Y, Z) while the gyroscope tracks angular motion over time.
    • HeadBandOn & HSI: Indicators for the device's position on the user’s head and the quality of sensor readings, respectively.
    • Battery: Shows the remaining battery life of the Muse device.
    • Elements: Captures specific actions by the user, like blinking or jaw clenching, which might be of significance in the decision-making context.
  2. LOCAL Folder: Decision Timing Metrics

    • ID & Trial: Unique identifiers for the participant and the respective session of the experiment.
    • Response Metrics: Includes parameters like the start time, letter appearance time, and the time when a participant feels the impulse to press a key.
    • Decisional Parameters: Encompasses the chosen key, the timing of the observed letter, and the letter that the user remembers seeing during the impulse of decision-making.

Drawing from this rich dataset, NeuroDecipher applies advanced analytical algorithms to trace the arc of decision-making from subconscious initiation to conscious realization. By correlating neurological data with the explicit decisions captured, the software presents a comprehensive picture of the pre-conscious neural activity that might presage specific decisions.
