"Give me the code" - Log Analysis of First-Year CS Students' Interactions With GPT - Full interaction logs
Description
Full raw interaction logs of students with ChatGPT, in the context of a specific programming exercise for a Data Structures and Algorithms course, during the first semester of 2022/23.
The logs kept the original used language (mostly in Portuguese).
It is also provided:
- partial-project-statement.txt - Part of the project statement, explaining the format of the artists file. This was the information provided to students explaining the problem they should ask GPT for help
- log-format-example.txt - This was provided to students as an example of how they should interact with ChatGPT and how that interaction should be recorded in a log file, to be submitted along the project
