PySPEDAS, Astropy, and Coordinate Transformations
Description
This presentation discusses some of the factors considered by the PySPEDAS team in design and initial implementation of tools for performing coordinate transforms, and why we opted to port the existing tools from IDL SPEDAS to Python, rather than adopting AstroPy or other Python packages.
