ABOUT THE QUALITY OF THE GRENA POURED ON DIFFERENT DAYS
Creators
Description
The quality of the grena is of great importance in obtaining a high cocoon yield. The quality of the grena shed by the butterfly on different days is also proven by our experiments. The experiments were carried out on the grena of the Aghbaramali 1 breed and the Azerbaijan x Aghbaramali 1 hybrid produced at the Institute of Sericulture. In the experiment, mainly, the quality of the grena shed on different days and its relationship with the mating period of butterflies (2, 4 and 6 hours) were studied. The obtained figures show that the average weight of the grena poured on the first day is heavier than on the following days. For all options, the average weight of the grena poured on the first day was 6,0 and 9,0% higher than the grena of the second and third day, respectively, in Aghbaramali 1 breed. In most cases, the percentage of recovery of the grena poured during the first day was higher than the grena of the following days. As a result of these experiments, production is advised to keep the butterflies mated for 4 and 6 hours and to use only the first day's grena for either breeding or industrial feeding.
