Inter-array cabling in wind power plants, optimization and reliability assessment

Description

Following the publication of a new version of the related work (https://doi.org/10.12688/openreseurope.16716.2), this record brings updated versions of the developed codes for inter-array cabling optimization. The latest versions of the paper and implemented codes improved the proposed PCR methodology. In addition, the Monte Carlo assessments are now significantly faster. Check the "README.pdf" file for explanations on how to utilize the attached codes.

The ipynb files were implemented in Julia, version 1.9.3, and the m files were implemented in Matlab, version R2022a. The required Julia packages are listed at the top of each ipynb file. From the previous to the current version of this record, the optimization solver was changed from the open-source HiGHS (https://highs.dev/) to the commercial CPLEX (https://www.ibm.com/products/ilog-cplex-optimization-studio) due to the larger wind power plants under study. IBM makes academic licenses available for those who fit the criteria.
