The article discusses the theoretical aspects of the formation of the prerequisites of writing by first-grade students with speech disorders. The analysis of the points of view of various scientists on the peculiarities of the formation of written speech is carried out. Similar and different opinions of researchers have been revealed. The article formulates the main provisions that should include a diagnostic technique for detecting speech disorders. The effectiveness of the differentiated approach in the process of correctional and speech therapy is emphasized.
