Description
This artifact comprises the survey data of the paper:
Jacob Krüger and Regina Hebig, "To Memorize or to Document: A Survey of Developers’ Views on Knowledge Availability" In: International Conference on Product-Focused Software Process Improvement (PROFES), Springer, 2023.
There are two files:
- Survey Fields.csv describes how to interpret the actual responses:
- Variable Name is an identifier to distinguish variables.
- Label describes the actual question.
- Type specifies the type of question.
- Data Type defines the type of the answers.
- Value Codes maps the text of the answering options onto the codes that are used in the dataset.
- Missing Code is the code for missing values.
- Survey Responses.csv lists the responses for each participant (column ID) for each question (top row, Codes map to Variable Name in Survey Fields.csv).
We remark that we removed the last three questions of our survey, which asked for their gender, age, mail (for sending the report), and general comments.
