Women Skill Development: The Path to Economic Change and Sustainability

Purpose: Skills development leads to financial sustainability. Most of the marginalized lack vocational education and need to develop their skills if they want to bring about a change in their economic status. There are different types of skills – soft skills, hard skills, transferable skills, hybrid skills, etc. Indian women have proven their skills in the workplace. Behind such success is a great story of struggle and freedom in the traditional social arena. In addition, the roles of women workers are changing, they have kept the traditional housework ethic. This study is dedicated to finding the root causes of the problems of working women. It also tries to find viable solutions that have been practiced elsewhere and that must be implemented on other social fronts. Some work-related skills should be acquired right from the start. To bring a change of income or gain wealth, it is not possible to have a profession and property alone, but by developing your skills you can also get a sustainable income. The purpose of this research is to understand women's empowerment and financial sustainability. For working women, it is important to use innovative technologies because of the modern lifestyle. This study explains the challenges women face, how to improve their skills and how they can change their economic status and sustainability.
Methodology / Design /Approaches: It is an exploratory study with the help of secondary data where the researchers have conducted a content analysis of various skills required for women to change their economic status and sustainability.
Findings and results: Continue improvement in Innovation skills, and consistency in the work, up-to-date knowledge is the basic requirement. Regular challenges like coping with family pressure, conditions of workplace harassment, and natural challenges like social and Psychological.
Originality/value: Content analysis of economic change and sustainability on skill development of the women in India.
Type of Paper: Descriptive research with exploratory research design.
