Description
Looking around, we see a change in all aspects of the digital industry, education, or the economy. The digital sector has witnessed a larger volume of transformation. Significant work, changes, and improvements have been made in the field of design and manufacturing. The digital sector, as well as the construction sector, are witnessing digital transfers. Technology is evolving to solve various problems arising in all industries. The blockchain is also moving towards the construction industry. Combining blockchain with BIM (building information modeling) is a great combination. Blockchain is really useful in the manufacturing industry. The blockchain is a chain of linked blocks in which each block relates to the block before it. The main characteristic of blockchain is its ability to ensure information security. All the information is held in the blockchain in a codified and hashed form that has been encrypted. The blockchain is used to ensure the accuracy of information transacted between two actors. The overall structure of blocks in the blockchain consists of two main parts. The first one includes the main information of the block in hashed form, and the second part includes the address of the prior block in hashed form. In different construction projects, these data can include the smart contracts concluded between the employer, contractor, and consultant, as well as the correspondences done with different organizations and the evaluation of workers' work hours. The structural information is the most significant data in sensitive projects, the accuracy of which should be assessed since filtering such information leads to heavy casualties. The research method is descriptive, with the goal of getting acquainted with blockchain and combining it with the construction industry and building information modeling.
