Type locality: North Atlantic Ocean.

Synonyms: Hyperia longipes Vosseler 1901; Hyperia sibaginis var. longipes Vosseler 1901.

Distribution. World: Atlantic Ocean (Chevreux, 1900; Suárez-Morales et al. 2010), Bay of Biscay (Bachelet et al. 2003), Gulf of Mexico (Felder & Camp 2009), New Zealand (Webber et al. 2010), India (Pillai 1965b).

India: Western India Ecoregion: Gujarat (Pillai 1965b); Maharashtra (Pillai 1965b); Kerala (Pillai 1965b).
