Type locality: Fjord, Norway.

Synonyms: Amphilochus bispinosa Boeck, 1871.

Distribution. World: Norway (Boeck 1871), Canada ( Bossé et al. 1996), UK (Dauvin 1999), North Atlantic Ocean (Bellan-Santini & Costello 2001), India (Thilagavathi et al. 2013).

India: South India Ecoregion: Tamil Nadu (Thilagavathi et al. 2013); Eastern India Ecoregion: Tamil Nadu (Lyla et al. 1998; Mondal et al. 2010; Thilagavathi et al. 2013).
