In this article, some examples from industrial practice show the possibilities of optimizing pump units and systems. If the optimization of individual elements gives modest economic results, then the comprehensive optimization of the pumping system, taking into account the pipeline network and operating conditions, leads to a significant improvement in economic indicators.
