Description
Considerations about Bythinella rufescens persuturata (Gastropoda: Prosobranchia: Hydrobiidae: Amnicolinae). This article deals with Bythinella rufescens persuturata Bofill, Haas et Aguilar-Amat, 1921, one of the species of the genus endemic from Catalonia. The paper includes a topographical sketch indicating 58 springs placed in the studied area of El Montseny massif, and an accompanying nominal list. Besides the above-mentioned springs, where B. rufescens persuturata dwells, five springs from the proximities of the massif are also included; one of them, Font dels Enamorats, is an unpublished citation. The initially designated Bythienella cf. cadevalli is also included in B. rufescens persuturata with a range of form; it is cited here from five more springs, four of which are unpublished: Torrent de l’Infern, Riera de Marganell, Font de Can Farigola and Font del Catafal. Details are provided for each of them. The article includes a morphometric list with an accompanying graphic, a plate with figures of B. rufescens persuturata, and an account of data about the rocky substrate, the edaphology and the flora.
