Columnea picta H.Karst. (Karsten 1865: 105, t. 154), nom. illeg., non (Lemaire) Lemaire ex Hanstein (1864: 422).
≡ Dalbergaria picta (H.Karst) Wiehler (1973: 318).
Holotype: Colombia. Quindio, without date, G.K.W.H. Karsten s.n. (W0050225, digital image!). Etymology: Named after G.K.W.H. Karsten for his valuable contributions to the flora of Colombia.
