Determination Of Communication Volunteer Status And Communication Satisfaction Of Nurse Working In Family Health And Community Health Center

INTRODUCTION-OBJECTIVE: Communication is characterized as a demonstration to conclude any impact a community has made on another individual. Communication, which is expressed as a basic indispensable and unique in daily life, is one of the important building blocks of the realization rooms of a purpose. The communication phenomenon in the field of health is; It is expressed as the exchange of thoughts and feelings between the patient and the health personnel. It has been perceived that there is a purposeful and positive relationship between the volunteering of consultation and communication satisfaction of the nurses as they think.
MATERIAL-METHOD: Between February 2018 and March 2018; The study was conducted with 95 nurses who voluntarily participated in the study and answered the questionnaire questions, working in the Family Health and Community Health Centers working in the central districts of Erzurum. Data; It was collected between February 2018 and March 2018 with the Socio-Demographic Status Questionnaire, Volunteering for Communication Scale and Communication Satisfaction Scale. In the analysis of data; SPSS 15.0 for Windows program, frequency and percentage, mean and standard deviation, t test, One Way Analysis of Variance, Kruskal Wallis, Mann Whitney U Test, Cronbach alpha reliability analysis were used.
RESULTS: The mean age of the nurses participating in our study was 29.66±7.31. The participants stated that they had been working in the profession for an average of 8.77±7.06 years and that they were considering quitting their job at a rate of 32.6% in the last year. When the volunteering status of the nurses for communication was examined, it was determined that an average of 50.22±2.12, that is, half of them, volunteered for communication and their communication satisfaction in their job was at a high level with an average of 91.54±12.19.
CONCLUSION: It was determined that the nurses participating in the study were willing to communicate at a medium level, but their communication satisfaction in the institution they worked in was high.
