A full-head model to investigate intra and extracochlear electric fields in cochlear implant stimulation
Description
This DOI includes Comsol files (.mph) in which a full-head model implanted with a cochlear implant electrode array is simulated. The model has been solved using the Electric Currents Interface of the AC/DC module of Comsol Multiphysics software (v6.1). In these files, monopolar and bipolar modes under stimulation of a medial electrode E14 have been solved, respectively in Full_head_model_MP_medial.mph and Full_head_model_BP_medial.mph files. The cases of tripolar and partial tripolar modes can be easily derived from these files by changing the boundary conditions as described in the related published manuscript.
A NASTRAN (.nas) file that contans the volume mesh of the developed full head model is also provided.
