Description
Purpose: to study the problem of chronic cerebral ischemia in the modern world.
Materials and methods: in this article, the relevance of the problem of chronic cerebral ischemia in middle-aged people was considered, according to publications from 2012 to 2011. The statistics of the occurrence of the disease around the world, as well as neurological signs of chronic ischemia in the age aspect, were presented. Diagnostic methods and changes in blood parameters have been described, including lipid profile and homocysteine levels.
Conclusions. In general, this article emphasizes the importance of timely diagnosis and treatment of chronic cerebral ischemia, especially in middle-aged people, in order to prevent the development of serious complications such as stroke.
