The agriculture sector provides food rains, earnings to the government, raw materials for the industrial sector, and the bulk of wage goods required in the non-agriculture sector. Any ups and downs in the agriculture sector affect the entire economy positively or negatively reflecting the greater importance to the Indian economy.
