drought pluvial transitions

this code used in the article entitled "Soil moisture−atmosphere feedbacks have triggered the shifts from drought to pluvial conditions since 1980" is provided. Code is provided to show the general procedure for drought and pluvial transition identification, statistical calculations. Scripts are not standalone and only provide examples for the process used to produce the results in the manuscript.
