BMX
Description
BMX: Biological Modelling and Interface eXchange. BMX is a high-performance c++ package proving a hybrid continuum-discrete software suite for modelling the cell-cell and cell-environment interactions is microbial communities. BMX is built upon the AMReX adaptive mesh refinement package utilizing GPU acceleration for high computational scaling and provides computational advantages over traditional CPU software packages. The chemical reactions, cell behaviors, and cell force interactions can be tailored by the user. BMX may be used to study a wide range of biological phenomena such as the chemical exchanges between cells and their environment in bacterial biofilms or yeast cell communities.
