THE INSERTION OF THE CULTURE OF PATENT DEVELOPMENT IN THE CURRICULUM OF ENGINEERING COURSES IN BRAZIL

Description

This article deals with the inclusion of the patent development culture in the curriculum of engineering courses in Brazil. This work encompasses characteristics of the current Brazilian educational system, pointing out some weaknesses of the pedagogical programs of this education system related to innovation, technology development and intellectual protection. It also presents a proposal for inserting elements from the area of intellectual and industrial property, in the area of invention patents and utility models in the summary of these undergraduate courses in Brazil.
