Coscine is a web-based FDM platform developed at RWTH Aachen University. It enables the storage, management and archiving of research and metadata generated in the context of research projects. The platform also promotes cooperation across organizational boundaries, since researchers can register either via their organization via SSO or via ORCID. In order to enable meaningful metadata management for all research areas, Coscine allows flexible description with metadata based on established technologies (SHACL/RDF).

Coscine ist eine webbasierte FDM-Plattform, die an der RWTH Aachen entwickelt wurde. Sie ermöglicht die Speicherung, Verwaltung und Archivierung von Forschungs- und Metadaten, die im Kontext von Forschungsprojekten erzeugt werden. Die Plattform fördert zudem die Kooperation über Organisationsgrenzen hinaus, da Forschende sich entweder über ihre Organisation via SSO oder via ORCID anmelden können. Um für alle Forschungsbereiche ein sinnvolles Metadatenmanagement zu ermöglichen, erlaubt Coscine die flexible Beschreibung mit Metadaten basierend auf etablierten Technologien (SHACL/RDF).
