HR competence refers to the knowledge, skills, and abilities of HR professionals and the overall HR function within an organization. It is highlighted that a highly competent HR function can attract and retain top talent, create a positive and productive work environment, and align employee performance with the overall goals of the organization. This, in turn, can lead to improved financial performance, increased innovation, and a competitive advantage for the firm.
