Description

This publication is a part of the MSc Geoinformatics for Urbanised Society (University of Tartu) thesis "Exploring the applicability of the digital twin technology for mitigating urban overheating: the case of Riga, Latvia". The publication shows a prototype for a digital twin for urban overheating management for a section of the Teika neighbourhood in Riga, Latvia. This prototype was built in Unreal Engine and contains the built infrastructure, high and medium vegetation, ground surface cover of the area, as well as a dynamic Sun and temperature data. It presents a potential initial base needed for a digital twin with functionalities needed to better plan urban form in a way that reduces urban heat trapping.

This publication includes two versions of the prototype - an Unreal Engine developer project (Teika_twin_project.zip) and an exported version of the prototype as a user application (Teika_twin_exe.zip).
