Gonocephalus grandis

Description

Gonocephalus grandis (Gray, 1845) — Erroneous.

Great Anglehead Lizard

Singapore records.

Gonocephalus grandis —Shahriza, 2018: 153.— Janssen & Sy, 2022: 34.

Remarks. Gonocephalus grandis ranges from southern Thailand to southern Peninsular Malaysia, and Sumatra, with disjunct populations in southern Laos and southern Vietnam (Grismer 2011b). Shahriza (2018) likely confused G. grandis with the erroneous records of G. bellii when he listed it as occurring in Singapore. Nonetheless, no species of Gonocephalus is found in Singapore.

Additional Singapore museum specimens. No specimens.
