FIGURE 1. Schmidt´s first illustration (Schmidt 1793b: tab. 147) of Hippion obtusifolium cited in the protologue (Schmidt 1793a) and designated as lectotype by Skalický (1969). The illustration shows a plant with predominantly pentamerous corollae plus a single tetramerous one; the presumably unique copy is held by the National Library of the Czech Republic / Národní knihovna České republiky (16 AA 29/T. 2).
