Description
3.32. Epilobium trichophyllum Haussknecht (1879: 53).
Type:— INDIA. Sikkim: alt. 10000–12000 ft., Latong, Hooker 7 (W00550146 digital image, K000913975!, K000913974!).
Distribution: — Sikkim & Darjeeling.
Note: — This species is endemic to India, Sikkim. It is closely related to Epilobium sikkimense. Raven (1962a) considered that it should better be retained as a distinct species. He did not mention the holotype of this species, but noted that its “isotypes” are deposited in K and W. According to Art. 9.1, we cannot determine the type status of E. trichophyllum in W and K.
